Dear Shari Reaves,

I hope this letter finds you well. It is with a heavy heart and much contemplation that I write to address a matter that I feel has reached a point where further discussion or action is needed.

As you know, I have been a dedicated team member with O’Reilly Auto Parts for over three years now. During this time, I have consistently strived to provide excellent service to our customers and be a dependable resource for my colleagues. I take pride in the knowledge I have gained and the contributions I have made to the team. I have always viewed my work here as more than just a job — it has been a place where I could grow, contribute, and be a part of something meaningful.

However, despite my continued commitment and the experience I have acquired, I have yet to receive a raise during my tenure. I have asked for a salary review on several occasions, only to be told that raises are frozen due to company policy or budgetary constraints. I understand that there may be factors influencing these decisions, but I have recently come to learn that some of my colleagues, who have been with the company for less time or have not shown the same level of dedication, have received raises or are compensated at a higher rate than I am.

This situation has left me feeling undervalued and disappointed, especially given the effort and time I have invested in both improving my skills and supporting the success of our store. I had hoped that my commitment to the company would be recognized and rewarded in a manner that reflects my experience and contributions. Unfortunately, it seems that this has not been the case.

Given the current circumstances, I find myself at a crossroads. I have reached the conclusion that I can no longer continue in a position where my hard work and loyalty are not met with the recognition or compensation I deserve. While I value the relationships I’ve built here and the work we’ve done together, I must respectfully request that my salary be reviewed with the consideration of a raise that reflects my dedication, experience, and value to the team.

If a raise or a fair adjustment to my compensation is not possible at this time, I will regrettably have no choice but to tender my resignation and pursue other opportunities where my skills and experience are appreciated. Please understand that this decision is not made lightly, but it is one I feel is necessary for both my professional and personal growth.

I did not expect that my time with O’Reilly Auto Parts would end with me needing to take such a step, and I had hoped that my efforts would lead to a positive outcome through continued employment and fair recognition. I genuinely believe that I have contributed positively to the success of our store, and I would be saddened to leave. However, I must prioritize my future and seek an environment where my value is recognized.

I am grateful for the experiences I have had here, and I truly hope that we can come to a resolution that allows me to continue being a part of the O’Reilly team. I would appreciate your prompt response to this matter, and I remain open to discussing possible solutions.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Ronnie Puckett
